At Outback Birdies, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Although we are not legally required to comply with the Privacy Act due to our size, we choose to follow these standards because we value transparency, professionalism, and trust with our customers.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information necessary to deliver our mobile golf-simulator services and provide the best experience possible. This may include:
• Your name, phone number, email address, and delivery/setup address
• Event details (such as the type of event or number of participants) to help match the right package to your needs
• Payment information processed securely through Square (we do not store or access your card details)
• Website usage data collected through Wix Analytics and similar tools using cookies to understand traffic and improve performance
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
• Confirm and manage bookings
• Coordinate event setup, delivery, and support
• Communicate with you regarding enquiries, follow-ups, and service improvements
• Maintain internal records, accounting, and business operations
• (Future use) Provide marketing communications, promotions, and advertising relevant to Outback Birdies
We may also use aggregated, non-identifiable data for analytics and advertising optimisation.
4. Marketing & Unsubscribe
From time to time, we may send you information about new packages, promotions, or upcoming events.
You can opt out or unsubscribe at any time by:
• Clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in our marketing emails
• Replying “Unsubscribe” to any email

5. Disclosure to Third Parties
We may share limited personal information with trusted third-party providers who assist us in operating our business, including:
• Wix – website hosting, booking forms, and analytics
• Square – payment processing
• Xero – accounting and financial management
• Google Workspace (Gmail) – communication and storage
• Meta (Facebook & Instagram) – social media and advertising
• TikTok – future social media marketing
Some providers may store data overseas. By using our services, you consent to your information being transferred and processed in these locations under appropriate privacy safeguards.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your personal information is stored securely in reputable cloud systems (Wix, Xero, Google Workspace) and, where necessary, on password- or biometric-protected mobile devices.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, or disclosure.
Payment card details are never stored or accessible to us — these are encrypted and managed solely by Square.
7. Access, Correction & Deletion
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or request deletion where appropriate.

8. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website uses Wix Analytics and similar technologies to track site performance and visitor behaviour. Cookies help us improve functionality and user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly as a result.

1. Introduction
Welcome to Outback Birdies. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings, equipment hires, and services provided by Outback Birdies. By confirming a booking or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services
Outback Birdies provides mobile golf-simulator hire, delivery, setup, and collection services throughout South East Queensland. Each setup is tailored to suit your event and location. We may update or refine our services, packages, or pricing from time to time, but any confirmed bookings will be honoured as agreed.
3. Bookings & Payments
• Bookings are confirmed once a deposit or full payment is received.
• A refundable security bond may be required prior to delivery. This bond may be used to cover loss, damage, or outstanding charges. Any remaining amount will be refunded within a reasonable time after collection of the equipment.
• Payments are processed securely through Square. We never store or have access to your full card details.
• All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellation & Rescheduling differs depending on package.
For Outback Heroes:
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled hire date will not incur a fee.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the hire date will incur a fee equal to 50 % of the total hire charge.
• Outback Birdies may reschedule or cancel an event due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen technical issues. If this occurs, we’ll work with you to find a new date or offer a credit.
For Outback Classic & Outback Open:
• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled hire date will not incur a fee (meaning 8 or more days).
• Cancellations made withing 7 days of the hire date will incur a fee equal to 50 % of the total hire charge (meaning 7 days or less).
• Outback Birdies may reschedule or cancel an event due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen technical issues. If this occurs, we’ll work with you to find a new date or offer a credit.
5. Safety & Equipment Use
• Our simulators are designed for safe use indoors or outdoors within suitable spaces. You’re responsible for ensuring the area is flat, accessible, and weather-appropriate.
• Players must follow all setup and safety instructions provided by Outback Birdies, either verbally or in written or video form.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Ownership: All equipment remains the property of Outback Birdies. You hire it as custodian only and may not sublease, sell, or transfer it.
• You must ensure that all users and guests follow the same safety and care instructions. You are liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused by third-party users during the hire period.
6. Damage, Loss & Late Returns
• Equipment must be returned in its Original Condition — clean and undamaged, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.
• Any damage, loss, or theft during the hire period is the responsibility of the hirer. Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the security bond or invoiced directly.
• If equipment is not available for pickup or return at the agreed time, a late-return charge of $50 per hour applies. This amount represents a genuine pre-estimate of loss caused by delay.
7. Customer Responsibilities
By booking with Outback Birdies, you agree to:
• Provide accurate site and access information for delivery and setup.
• Ensure a safe environment for operation of the simulator.
• Obtain permissions or permits if the event is held on public or third-party property.
• Treat our staff, brand, and equipment respectfully at all times.
• Contact us immediately if damage or defects occur, or if maintenance is required.
8. Event Photography & Promotion
With your consent, Outback Birdies may take photos or short video clips at your event for promotional or social-media use. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting lisa@outbackbirdies.com.au
9. Consumer Law & Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law:
• Outback Birdies is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of profit, opportunity, or enjoyment.
• Where services are not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or reimbursing the cost of resupply.
• You agree to indemnify Outback Birdies for any damage, loss, or injury arising from misuse or negligent operation of the equipment.
10. Force Majeure
Outback Birdies will not be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including extreme weather, power outages, equipment failure, or government restrictions. If this occurs, we’ll reschedule your booking or offer a credit.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Queensland courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The most current version will always be available on our website.
